Recipe Ingredients for Cavatelli Elisabetta

4 link Turkey Hot Italian Sausage
2 cup Beans, White, Mature Seeds, Canned
1 small Onions
4 cup Cavatelli
3 cup, chopped Kale
2 tbsp Olive Oil
0.25 cup, diced Celery
1 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots
2 clove Garlic

Recipe Directions for Cavatelli Elisabetta

  1. Prepare 4 cups of Sevirolli Cavatelli (found in the freezer section) according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Chop 1 stalk of celery, 1 carrot, 1 small onion, and 1 clove of garlic.

  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil. Add the celery, onions, garlic, and carrot, and cook until onions are transparent.

  4. Cut 4 Italian Turkey Sausage Links into chunks, and add to the pan.

  5. Continue cooking until Sausages are browned.

  6. Add Kale and cook the entire mixture until the sausage is cooked through.

  7. Drain and add the white beans and the cooked Cavatelli.

  8. Cook 5 minutes and transfer to large serving bowl. Toss with 1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

  9. (If you can afford the calories, you can also add a little bit of fresh, shaved parmesan cheese -- not the grated kind from the can, because it does not add anything to this dish!)
