Cauliflower Cheese Recipe

Cauliflower Cheese, main meal for vegetarians and side dish for anyone else. Weights = normal UK sized Cauli, a level 1/2 teaspoon of mustard powder and a heaped dessert spoon of corn starch. Plus I always use a French Toast as my bread crumbs! Easy portion control and easy to make into bread crumbs :o)

Recipe Ingredients for Cauliflower Cheese

17 grams Cornstarch
6 grams English Mustard
20 fl oz Skimmed Milk
90 grams Cheddar Cheese
10 grams Bread
450 grams Cauliflower

Recipe Directions for Cauliflower Cheese

  1. Preheat cooker 200c

  2. Cook cauliflower, drain and put into an ovenproof serving dish.

  3. Grate cheese.

  4. Mix cornstarch, mustard and milk to smooth sauce.

  5. Microwave on medium for 3 mins stirring half way through; then on high for two minutes again stirring half way through.

  6. Add two thirds of cheese and stir into sauce.

  7. Pour the sauce over the cauliflower.

  8. Mix remaining cheese with wholemeal breadcrumbs and sprinkle over cauliflower and sauce and pop into the oven and cook for 20 minutes

  9. Serve with salad and jacket potatoes, or as a side dish for any meal, lovely with a roast dinner!
