Linda's Cauliflower and Cheese Dish

Recipe Ingredients for Cauliflower & Cheese Casserole

1 head,+large+6-7"+dia Cauliflower
3 tbsp Butter
3 tbsp Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup American Cheese, grated
1 cup American Cheese, grated

Recipe Directions for Cauliflower & Cheese Casserole

  1. Break the cauliflower into small pieces about 1 inch. Wash and steam until tender. Place into a glass casserole dish. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the cheese sauce. Malt butter in a sauce pan; blend in flour and salt and let bubble up together. Take off heat, add the milk all at once. Cook over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Add cup grated American cheese to the milk sauce mix, stirring until the cheese is completely melted and mixed into the sauce.

  3. Pour over the cauliflower. Top with the remaining grated American cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
