Recipe Ingredients for Catfish Stew

1 lb. of catfish fillets, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 c. of celery, chopped
1/2 c. of green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c. of onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 c. beef broth
16 oz of diced tomatoes
10 oz of frozen okra
1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp of dried thyme
1 tsp bay leaf
1 tsp of hot sauce

Recipe Directions for Catfish Stew

  1. First take a large pot putting 2 c. of water in it and let it boil.

  2. Put bouillon cubes in the boiling water.

  3. In a skillet, add the olive oil and saute the celery, green pepper, onion, and the garlic.

  4. Once these veggies are tender, add the tomatoes, okra, and the cooked veggies to the pot.

  5. Season with salt, red pepper, thyme, bay leaf, and hot sauce.

  6. Let cook approx. 30 min.

  7. Add the catfish and cook another 15 min.

  8. Ladle and serve!
