A good basic taco meat made from scratch so you know what's in it!

Recipe Ingredients for Cass's Taco Meat

2 pounds lean ground beef
4 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Cass's Taco Meat

  1. Brown hamburger seperating clumps well to get even consistency.

  2. Drain well. Put back in pan.

  3. Add flour and spices and stir until there is some on all the meat.

  4. Add water, stir and heat until water is absorbed and flour mixture is well coating all meat.

  5. Serve with your usual taco fixings. Leftover meat freezes well and is handy for nachos and such.
