Recipe Ingredients for Cassie's Pork Puff

4 serving VIGO ITALIAN BREAD CRUMB
454 grams Pork, Fresh, Loin, Tenderloin
6 tsp Becel Regular Margarine
0.25 tsp Curry Powder
2 serving No Salt - salt substitute
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
0.5 cup Cheddar Jack Shredded Cheese
0.25 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
0.25 cup Wheat Flour, Whole-grain
1 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
1 large Egg, Whole

Recipe Directions for Cassie's Pork Puff

  1. Sprinkle bread crumbs over bottom o 8 x 8 baking dish. Slice pork thinly. Spread evenly over bread crumbs. Cover and bake in 350 oven for approximately 30 minutes(meat no longer pink).

  2. While meat is cooking, melt butter in medium sized sauce pan. Add curry, salt, pepper, onion and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Stir in flour. Add milk and beaten egg. Stir vigorously until thickened(it will be thick). Remove from heat.

  3. When read remove meat from oven. Drain carefully if needed. Spread mixture evenly overtop. Leave uncovered. Return to oven and bake at 400 F for 30 minutes until golden brown.
