Recipe Ingredients for Casserole, Macaroni & Cheese

1 1/2 cups uncooked macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup onion, minced
2 cups (8 ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe Directions for Casserole, Macaroni & Cheese

  1. Cook macaroni in salt water, drain and set aside.

  2. Melt butter, blend with flour, add milk. Cook over medium heat while stirring until mixture thickens.

  3. Add salt, pepper, onion, and cheese stirring until cheese melts.

  4. Add macaroni to sauce mixture, mix well and pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

  5. Bake in 350? oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly and browned on top.
