I added a touch more flour to make this a kneaded-dough bread

Recipe Ingredients for Casserole Bread

2 oz active dry yeast
1 tsp honey
1/2 cups skim milk
1/2 cups olive oil
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
3 3/5 cups all-purpose flour

Recipe Directions for Casserole Bread

  1. activate yeast by dissolving in water and honey and letting rest for 10 minutes while gathering other ingredients

  2. mix milk, oil, egg whites, and salt

  3. add activated yeast and mix until smooth

  4. add one cup of flour, mixing until smooth (scrape sides of bowl)

  5. add 2 more cups flour

  6. once batter is smooth, add remaining 2/3 cup, or as much as is needed to punch/knead dough without it sticking too much

  7. cover and let rise for 30 minutes

  8. punch it down, move to greased baking dish and let rise until doubled, about 40 minutes

  9. preheat oven to 375. place loaf on low (not bottom) rack so it is in the center of the oven.

  10. bake 40-45 minutes

  11. brush top of loaf with additional margarine
