lean spaghetti meat sauce, with fresh brocolli hidden in sauce for children who shy from vegetables. Makes 10 one cup servings, each serving has 4 oz meat, oz of fresh chopped brocoli or about three "flowers", and two small tomatoes

Recipe Ingredients for Cary's Lean Spaghetti Meat Sauce

3 1/5 lbs Honey Suckle 99% fat free ground turkey breast
5 1/2 cups oz Newman's Own
6 oz tomato paste
1 small onion, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
6 oz broccoli, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cups water
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp black pepper
2 cup peas
2 small tomatoes, chopped

Recipe Directions for Cary's Lean Spaghetti Meat Sauce

saute diced onions in olive oil, add garlic when onions begin to brown, shortly thereafter add ground turkey, brown meat while occasionally stirring and breaking up meat, when fully browned add premixed spaghetti sauce (any flavor & brand desired) add most of 6 oz can of tomato paste and seasons , including Italian Seasongs (not in ingredients because of mix up in database) to taste, simmer for 5 minutes to one hour, and add finely chopped brocolli to mixture two minutes before removing from stove to retain vitamin strength, add water as necessary to achieve desired consistency
