Creamy carrot soup with pears and toasted sesame seeds

Recipe Ingredients for Carrot pear sesame soup

5 medium Carrots
1 small (5-1/2" long) Carrots
2 pear, large (approx 2 per lb) Pears
1.4 1tsp Olive Oil
0.5 Teaspoon Thyme
0.5 tsp Light Salt Mixture
20 oz Water
20 grams Sesame Seeds, Whole, Roasted And Toasted

Recipe Directions for Carrot pear sesame soup

  1. Chop carrots and pears, sprinkle pears with dash of thyme, set aside

  2. In a medium-sized pot add olive oil and wait until hot, add carrots and saute for 2-3 minutes

  3. Add pears and thyme as well as about 2 large cups of water

  4. Let simmer for about 15 minutes or until carrots are tender

  5. Remove from fire, puree and add salt to taste

  6. For the sesame seeds:

  7. Heat a dry skillet and add about 4 tablespoons (or more, to taste) of sesame seeds

  8. Toast until golden and add just before serving
