we added 1 cup of water by mistake but recipe only calls for 1/2 cup of water

Recipe Ingredients for carrot cake

18 oz Cake, Carrot, Dry Mix, Pudding-type
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
8 oz crushed pineapple
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for carrot cake

  1. heat oven to 350 degrees. grease and flour baking pans(either 2 rounds or one 13X9)

  2. mix cake mix, water, oil, pineapple and eggs for 2.5 minutes

  3. stir in nuts, coconut and raisins. pour mix into pans

  4. cook rounds for 36 minutes or 13x9 for 37 minutes.

  5. cool and then frost with cream cheese frosting
