Recipe Ingredients for carrot-apple muffin

2/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup sugar
2/3 teaspoon cinnamon
2/3 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup carrots, finely shredded
1/3 medium apple, peeled and grated
1 egg
1/4 cup skim milk
1/8 cup unsweetened applesauce

Recipe Directions for carrot-apple muffin

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and grease the muffin tins.

  2. In a large bowl, stir flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon together.

  3. In a separate bowl, stir beaten egg, milk,and applesauce together.

  4. Add liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir.

  5. Add carrots,and apple.

  6. Spoon batter into tins and bake for about 25 minutes.
