Makes 10 servings



For the barley,lentils,beans, peas and rice I use Quik Kook Soup Mix which comes to the same amount of calories. For the tomatoes I used Primo brand dice Herbs and Spices. Serving is about 1 1/2 cup each.

Recipe Ingredients for Carol's Homemade Soup

1/4 cup barley
1/4 cup lentils
1/4 dried beans
1/4 cup dried peas
1/4 cup rice
1 cup onion (chopped)
1 cup celery (chopped)
2 cups canned tomatoes (diced)
12 cups water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 cup carrots (chopped)

Recipe Directions for Carol's Homemade Soup

Place all ingredients in a large pot and boil lightly for about 1 1/2 hours. Enjoy!
