Recipe Ingredients for Carob muesli bars

1/3 cup carob
3 serving weet bix
1 serving Protein Isolate 100% pure whey
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 egg whites, beaten
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried dates

Recipe Directions for Carob muesli bars

  1. Preheat oven to 325F (165C)

  2. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil

  3. Spray the foil with cooking spray

  4. In a large bowl, stir together the oats, flour, cereal, and cinnamon

  5. Add the egg, applesauce, honey, brown sugar, and oil. Mix well

  6. Stir in the sunflower seeds, pecans, and peanut butter

  7. Spread mixture evenly in the prepared pan

  8. Bake 30 minutes, or until firm and lightly browned around the edges

  9. Let cool and use the foil to lift from the pan

  10. Cut into bars or squares, and store in the refrigerator
