Carob-Almond Granola Recipe

Makes 12 servings



Basic granola with a hint of carob powder.

Recipe Ingredients for Carob-Almond Granola

3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup flax seed
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup honey
12 grams carob powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped dates

Recipe Directions for Carob-Almond Granola

  1. Mix rolled oats, wheat germ, flax seed and almonds in a large mixing bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, honey, carob powder and vanilla.

  3. Pour butter mixture over oat mixture and mix with hands to evenly coat.

  4. Spread granola evenly on a baking sheet and bake at 300F for 30 min, stirring every ten minutes.

  5. Remove from oven and place pan on wire wire rack. Cool completely.

  6. Stir in chopped dates.

  7. Store in air-tight container. ay be refrigerated for longer shelf life.
