Recipe Ingredients for Carnitas

2 pounds pork tenderloin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cumin
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups water
1/2 cup orange juice

Recipe Directions for Carnitas

  1. cube pork into bite size pieces

  2. add pork and seasonings to large pot

  3. add water enough just to cover meat

  4. simmer over medium heat until nearly all water is evaporated

  5. add orange juice simmer until all juice is gone and meat is lightly browned
