Recipe Ingredients for Carmelized Onion Dip

1 tsp olive oil
1 3/4 c onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/3 c cider vinegar
3 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/3 c mayonnaise, low fat
1/3 c sour cream, fat free
1/4 c fat free yogurt
1/8 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Carmelized Onion Dip

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; coverand cook 8-10 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently.

  2. Stir in vinegar, honey and white pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cook, uncovered, 10 minutes or until onion is golden and liquid evaporates, stirring occaisionally.

  3. Combine onion mixture, mayonnaise, sour cream, yogurt, and salt in a bowl; cover and chill 2 hours. Serve with bagel chips, carrots chips and celerey.
