Air popped to reduce fat a little. Makes 40 x 2 cup servings

Recipe Ingredients for Carmel Popcorn

20 quarts Popcorn, Air-popped, White Popcorn
1 1/2 cup butter
3 cups brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup Karo Syrup
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Carmel Popcorn

  1. Pop popcorn and spread on baking sheets, or roasting pans

  2. Melt butter in a sauce pan (use 1 qt or larger, soda makes it expand)

  3. add sugar and karo; boil 5 mn

  4. add salt, vanilla and soda - stir

  5. then pour immediately over popcorn (pour over one pan, mix to coat , then pour over the next pan.

  6. Bake at 300 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 mn.

  7. Cool and store in an airtight container.
