Recipe Ingredients for Carbless stuffed peppers

2 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green
16 oz Ground Turkey Breast, 99% Fat-free
0.5 cup, pieces or slices Mushrooms
2 tbsp chopped Shallots
1 clove Garlic
1 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 tsp Italian Seasoning
2 slice (1 oz) Low Fat, Cheddar Or Colby Cheese

Recipe Directions for Carbless stuffed peppers

  1. preheat oven to 350

  2. steam halved cleaned peppers 3-5 minutes

  3. Brown shallots in a pan with garlic and add mushrooms. Then add ground meat and seasonings; stirring until meat is cooked.

  4. Stir in tomato for one minute.

  5. Line baking sheet with foil and put halved peppers filled with meat mixture.

  6. Sprinkle cheese and spray with cooking spray.
