Recipe Ingredients for Caramelized Onion

1 small Onions
0.333 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.4 serving Coarse Kosher Salt

Recipe Directions for Caramelized Onion

  1. Slice the onion.

  2. Heat 1 t. olive oil into a saucepan on medium-high heat.

  3. Add the onion. Cook, stirring constantly for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Cook on low for up to 40 more minutes, until soft, brown, and much much sweeter.

  5. Salt (sparingly! a dash does the trick.)

  6. Enjoy.
