Recipe Ingredients for Caramelized Onion Dip

1 Cooking spray
3 cups chopped onion (about 2 medium)
3 tablespoons low-fat sour cream, divided
2 tablespoons cream cheese (1/3-less-fat)(softened)
3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 dash of ground red pepper

Recipe Directions for Caramelized Onion Dip

  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat.

  2. Add onion; sauté 2 minutes.

  3. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 20 - 40 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently.

  4. Remove from heat; cool.

  5. Combine 1 tablespoon sour cream and cream cheese, stirring well.

  6. Add remaining sour cream, mayonnaise, and remaining ingredients, and stir well to combine.

  7. Stir in onion.

  8. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
