Makes 64 servings

A creamy sweet caramel for dipping apples or drizzling over ice cream or other desserts Note: 64 servings is based on 16 tbsp per cup. This is supposed to make "3 or 4" cups. That could be either 48 tbsp, or 64 tbsp total number of servings. 4 Cups and 64 servings will have a lower calorie count per serving, than 3 cups and 64 servings would give you....the servings in the first example would be smaller.

Recipe Ingredients for Caramel Dip for apples

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Caramel Dip for apples

  1. Yield:

  2. 3-4 cups

  3. Ingredients:

  4. 1/2 cup butter

  5. 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (we like dark brown sugar best!)

  6. 3/4 cup light corn syrup

  7. 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

  8. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  9. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  10. Instructions:

  11. 1. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter on low heat.

  12. 2. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and milk, stirring to combine. Increase heat to medium (or perhaps just below medium).

  13. 3. Stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil.* Use a spoon that won't melt -- the caramel gets pretty hot!

  14. 4. Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla and cinnamon.

  15. 5. Serve warm or cold with apple slices, or drizzle over ice cream
