Yummy Italian Appetizer with fresh basil and tomatoes!

Recipe Ingredients for Caprese Salad

4 medium tomatoes (about 1.25 lbs, washed and cored)
1/2 lb fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced thinly
5 basil leaves (stacked neatly, rolled into a cylinder n cut into thin ribbons)
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Caprese Salad

  1. Cut tomatoes into 1/4-in. slices and arrange on a plate, alternating tomatoes with mozzarella slices.

  2. 2 Scatter basil ribbons over the tomatoes and mozzarella.

  3. 3 Drizzle with olive oil and season to taste with salt and pepper.
