The perfect combination of chocolate and coffee, a delicious finish to any holiday feast!

Recipe Ingredients for Cappuccino Bars

1/2 c butter
3 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 c flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp instant coffee
1 tbsp whipping cream
1 c powdered sugar
2 tbsp butter
1 c semisweet chocolate
1/3 c whipping cream

Recipe Directions for Cappuccino Bars

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave of stove until melted. stir in sugar and cool slightly

  2. add eggs one at a time, stirring just until combined. Stir in vanilla.

  3. Combine flour and baking soda. Add flour mixture to chocolate mixture, mix just until combined. Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2in pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes

  4. For middle layer, dissolve coffee in whipping cream and set aside. Beat powdered sugar and butter, add coffee mixture and beat to spreading consistancy. Add more whipping cream until the right consistancy is reached.

  5. spread coffee layer over warm brownies and chill for one hour.

  6. For frosting, combine the chocolate with the whipping cream in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until chocolate is melted and mixture begins to thicken. Pour on brownies and cool.
