Add to yogurt for filling parfait treat

Recipe Ingredients for Canola Granola

2 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup almonds
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp skim milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
250 g cherries (dried)
1 tsp orange zest

Recipe Directions for Canola Granola

  1. Pre-heat oven to 300 F

  2. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray

  3. Combine oats, wheat germ, almond(slices) cinnamon and tsp salt in a large bowl.

  4. Add canola oil, syrup, milk and vanilla

  5. Spread mixture in thin layer on the baking sheet

  6. Bake 25-30 minutes until browned, stirring 3 or 4 times to break up big pieces.

  7. Remove from heat a sprinkle evenly with remaining salt, cherries and zest.

  8. Cool completely and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
