Reduced fat puffed wheat squares. Fairly Chewy & less fat than most puffed wheat square recipes. High Fibre, good for a sweet fix.

Recipe Ingredients for Canadian Chic's Reduced fat puffed wheat squares

3/4 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa (heaping)
1 tbsp vanilla
11 cups puffed wheat

Recipe Directions for Canadian Chic's Reduced fat puffed wheat squares

  1. Combine corn syrup, butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and cocoa in heavy sauce pan.

  2. Boil for 5 minutes; remove from heat.

  3. Add puffed wheat; stir.

  4. Spray your 13 by 9 inch pan with cooking spray; wet your hands with water; Pat into pan.

  5. Let cool; cut into 20 squares.
