This is a TEST recipe for on-the-trail bread recipe. Oil & honey are single packets like those ones you get at salad bars. This is using a modified bakepacker and a jetboil stove. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm hoping it tastes good.

Recipe Ingredients for Camp Cranberry bread

31 scoop Whey Protein
1/3 cup warm water
2 tablespoons warm water
2 tablespoons dried cranberries
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon honey
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons whole wheat flour
1/2 cup bread flour
1 tablespoon bread flour
2 teaspoons bread flour
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast

Recipe Directions for Camp Cranberry bread

  1. At Home:

  2. Put Protein, salt, dried cranberries (optional), and flour in a freezer bag. Squeeze out the air and seal shut.

  3. On the Trail:

  4. Add honey, water, yeast and oil in bag. Close bag partially, kneading the bag to mix the ingredients. make sure that you squeeze the corners of the bag to get it good and mixed. Start with a little water and add as needed.

  5. Seal bag, leaving a little room with air. Store in pack in an easy to reach place. Wait about an hour for ingredients to do their thing.

  6. Cooking:

  7. Place special camp baking utensil at bottom of camp stove, add inch of water.

  8. Through the bag, roll into a ball shape. Roll bag closed (do not seal!). Bring to a boil and then immediately bring down to flame being almost out. Cook for 15 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes. Hope to god it doesn't taste awful.
