After reading the above you might think there is no healthy British food. However, there is a big push in the country to prepare dishes in healthier ways. Using the same basic ingredients, meat or fish or baked beans, starch like potato and veggies, it is easy to create healthy British food meals. By choosing lean meats over sausage and methods such as baking or broiling instead of frying, you can save loads of calories. The government is making a concerted effort to reduce the incidence of childhood obesity by dedicating funds to getting rid of low nutritional quality food from the schools.
