Recipe Ingredients for California picadillo

1 pound extra lean ground beef
1 large onion
16 oz can tomatoes
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chile powder
1/2 cup raisins
8 oz green chiles
12 oz can corn
4 oz black olives
2 ounces almonds
4 oz cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for California picadillo

Brown beef. Coursely chop onion and add. Saute until until onion begins to soften. Pour off excess fat. Add tomatoes and liquid, breaking up tomatoes with fingres, plus vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, cumin, chile powder, raisins, green chiles, corn, and olives. Heat to boiling: reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Grate cheese. Stir in almonds and sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook 10 minutes.
