Recipe Ingredients for Calico Beans

6 medium slices bacon
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp dry mustard
16 oz beans, slightly drained
16 oz kidney beans, slightly drained
16 oz butter beans, slightly drained

Recipe Directions for Calico Beans

  1. Cook bacon, crumble.

  2. Cook onion and saute until tender.

  3. Add beef and cook through.

  4. Combine all ingredients in a casserole dish, sprinkling the top with bacon.

  5. Bacon in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
