Hearty and tangy main dish great for chilly weather

Recipe Ingredients for Calico Beans

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound bacon
1 onion, chopped
15 ounce navy beans
15 ounce Van Camp's pork and beans
15 ounce kidney beans
1 cup catsup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Calico Beans

  1. Brown and drain meats, sauteeing the onion in the grease.

  2. Mix all ingredients in shallow baking dish, or place in slow cooker.

  3. Bake at 300F for 2 hours, or cook on low for 4-6.
