This is a portuguese soup, its usual to add some slices of chorizo to the soup. It's one of the most traditional dishes in portuguese cuisine. You can replace the carrots with the equivalent wwight of onions and potatoes, for the real real real recipe!

Recipe Ingredients for Caldo Verde-

2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) Potatoes, Boiled
2 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
3 medium Carrots
1000 grams Water
2 clove Garlic
10 grams Sea Salt
110 grams Couve Portuguesa

Recipe Directions for Caldo Verde-

  1. Boil the potatoes, carrots, garlic, onions (all pealed) with salt in one litter of water.

  2. At the same time but seperatly, steam boil the portuguese cabbage.

  3. When everytihing is boiled, turn it into a cream with your food-processer or something like that.

  4. In the end, add the portuguese cabbage and eat it up!
