  1. Preheat the oven to 325. Grease and flour a 12 cup tube pan.

  2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oil and sugar and blend on low speed. Add half of the dry ingredients and mix well. Alternately add the eggs and the remaining dry ingredients. Fold in the carrots and nuts just until evenly distributed.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan.

  5. Invert the cooled cake onto a serving plate.
