Cajun Fish Recipe

Fish fillets simmered in a tomato sauce with garlic and herbs served over rice

Recipe Ingredients for Cajun Fish

1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 small green pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1 can tomato soup
1/3 c water
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp red pepper
1 lb fish fillet
2 c rice, cooked

Recipe Directions for Cajun Fish

  1. Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high-heat. Add the green pepper and oregano and cook until the green pepper is tender-crisp stirring often.

  2. Stir in the soup, water, garlic powder, black pepper and red pepper into the skillet. Heat to a boil. Place the fish into the soup mixture and reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve over rice

  3. We use Tilapia fillets
