Main course Vinaigrette-style with anchovies

Recipe Ingredients for Caesar Salad

1 egg
2 cloves garlic - minced
3 anchovie fillet servings, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 head of romaine lettuce

Recipe Directions for Caesar Salad

  1. Place cold egg in warm water. Heat enough water to boiling to cover egg completely. Immerse egg in boiling water with spoon; remove from heat. Cover; let stand 30 seconds. Immediately cool egg in cold water.

  2. Mix anchovies, garlic, oil, Worcestershire Sauce, mustard and pepper in bowl. Stir coddled egg and pour over romaine along with dressing. Pour lemon juice over; toss and sprinkle cheese over salad.
