Recipe Ingredients for Cachitos De Jamón

2 tbsp active dry yeast
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp salt
1 1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk
5 cups wheat flour
3 (135g) eggs, well trodden
1 1/4 cups water
4 cup ham, diced

Recipe Directions for Cachitos De Jamón

  1. In a small bowl pour the yeast with a little sugar and 1/2 cup of warm water.Let it rest for 10 minutes or until the mix grows considerably.

  2. In another large glass bowl, combine the sugar, salt, the butter and the milk, then stir it for a while; put the 4 & 3/4 cups of flour, knead until it's all homogeneous, add the eggs and keep kneading , add the yeast and keep moving the mix until a uniform and sticky dough is formed.

  3. Put the dough in a plastic bag and put it in a warm place and leave it there for two hours resting.

  4. Get the dough out of the bag and Knead it, helping yorself with the reamining 1/4 cup of flour and dived in 4 equl portions so you can work with each potion separate.

  5. Make a 25 cm diameter disc with the dough. Divide each disc in 8 triangles (the way you slice pizza)

  6. Each slice is then covered with diced ham on the widest part.Wrap the triangles from the widest side to towards the ponit and put them in a tray for baking.

  7. Put the tray in the center of the oven and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until they acquire a gold color.
