Each serving is a large soup bowl full, about 2 cups solids and 1 cup liquid.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Soup

1 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia) Cabbage
1 large Onions
6 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
6 oz Carrots
1 tbsp Salt, Table
4 tsp Pepper, Black
1 can (10.75 oz), prepared Soup, Chicken Broth
2 tsp Garlic Powder
150 oz Water
2 cup Brown Rice

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Soup

  1. Place all vegetable ingredients into crock pot.

  2. Cover with water.

  3. Add salt, pepper, and garlic.

  4. Cook on high until vegetables are soft. (about 4 hours)

  5. Rice may be added at any time but seems to hold flavor best if added during last 30 minutes of cooking.
