Delicious veggie soup that is easy to make, and in a large enough portion that it should last a while. Just add chicken or stewing beef to add servings of protein. Add different spices to change the flavour.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage soup

5 cups cabbage
3 medium potatoes
8 cups chicken broth
2 stalks celery
5 cups stewed tomatoes
2 medium carrots
1 cup onion
1 1/2 cups kidney beans

Recipe Directions for Cabbage soup

  1. Chop all of the vegetables and place into a pot with the broth, canned stewed tomatoes (with juice) and drained kidney beans. Simmer until all vegetables are soft.

  2. If adding meat, cook before adding to the broth.
