Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Soup

2 1/2 quarts chicken stock
2 onion
4 garlic cloves
2 lb. cabbages
24 ounces tomato
6 carrots
8 stalks celery
12 ounces ham

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Soup

  1. Boil ham bone and 12 ounces cooked, trimmed ham for one hour. Discard bone.

  2. Add shredded cabbage, 2 small heads.

  3. Add 2.5 quarts chicken stock.

  4. Add 2 large cans crushed tomato.

  5. Add 8 carrots, sliced.

  6. Add 8 celery stalks with leaves, sliced.

  7. 1 teaspoon salt

  8. 1 teaspoon pepper

  9. 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  10. Bring to boil then simmer for one hour.
