Cabbage stuffed with sausage and beef

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Rolls

12 leaves cabbage
1 lb sausage
1 lb ground beef
2 cups brown rice, cooked
1 cup milk
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbs brown sugar
8 ounce tomato sauce
2 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp oregano
12 tsp basil

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Rolls

  1. Core cabbage and cook in covered microwave dish 10 -15 minutes until leaves are tender enough to peel and roll.

  2. Combine beef, sausage, rice milk, salt and pepper. Spoon ab out 1/2 cup of mix into each of 12 cabbage leaves. Roll, tucking edges in. Place on rack over 1" water in pressure cooker and sprinkle with 2 TBS brown sugar. Cook for 10 minutes at 15 lbs pressure. Let pressure drop naturally.

  3. Meanwhile, combine tomato sauce, 2 TBS brown sugar, oregano and basil in small sauce pan. Simmer 15-20 minutes.

  4. Serve each roll with a spoonful of sauce on top.
