Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Rolls

1248 g cabbage
2 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 onion
1/2 cup rice
3 cans tomato soup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Rolls

  1. remove heart of cabbage with sharp knife

  2. place cabbage in large pot covered with water

  3. bring to a boil

  4. gently remove leaves from boiling water as they come loose and set aside

  5. brown ground beef with chopped onion

  6. add rice

  7. let cook

  8. in a bowl, mix soup, water, brown sugar and worcestershire sauce

  9. take one cabbage leaf and place 1 small handfull of beef mix; roll and fold and place in a clear glass dish

  10. cook in the oven for 1 hour at approx 375

  11. Variant: add mozzarella cheese in each roll before folding
