Rice and ground beef rolled in boiled cabbage, coated in tomatoe sauce and baked. An Eastern European Staple.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Rolls

0.5 head Cabbage
1106 grams Rice, White, Long-grain, Regular, Cooked
1 portion ( yield from 1/2 lb raw meat ) Beef, Ground, 95% Lean Meat / 5% Fat, Crumbles
1/4 cup Tomato Sauce

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Rolls

Boil Cabbage. Prepare rice in separate pot. When rice is done remove from eat and begin to fry ground beef. Add beef to rice and mix, add salt and pepper to taste. When cabbage is done strain. Use separated cabbage leaves and fill with rice and beef mix, Roll the cabbage into a small taco bundle then place into an oven pan with a cover. Roll until cabbage and filling has all been used. Cover with tomatoe sauce and cover. Bake for about an hour at around 325F until aromas can be smelt. Remove and enjoy.
