I grew up eating cabbage rolls and it's one of my favorite comfort foods. This is my personal recipe. Each serving is 2 cabbage rolls = 7 WW points+ I usually serve these with mashed potatoes, however, for WW friendly I roast cut cauliflower with garlic and olive oil for an add'l 2 points+ per serving.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Rolls

1 lb ground turkey
2 cups cooked white rice
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 head cabbage
29 oz tomatoes
1 cup vinegar

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Rolls

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Steam cabbage to make leaves pliable enough to wrap around meatballs.

  3. While steaming cabbage, mix ground turkey, rice, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Make into medium sized meatballs (should make approx. 20 meatballs).

  4. Wrap one cabbage leaf around each meatball and place, seam side down, into a 9" x 13" baking dish. They should be snug in the dish.

  5. In a blender, put 2 14.5 oz cans of tomatoes (with liquid) and 1 cup of vinegar and puree until mixed well. Pour tomato vinegar mixture over the top of the cabbage rolls. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 mins, or until temperature of cabbage rolls is 165 degrees.
