Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Rolls with Ground Turkey

2/3 c water
1/3 c uncooked rice
8 cabbage leaves
1 lb ground turkey
1/4 c chopped onion
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/4 c tomato sauce

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Rolls with Ground Turkey

  1. cook rice according to directions

  2. boil water, add cabbage leaves and parboil for 2-4 minutes. drain.

  3. in bowl, mix ground turkey, 1 cup of rice, onion, egg, salt and pepper, and 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce. Mix thoroughly.

  4. divide beef mixture evenly among cabbage leaves. Roll and secure with toothpick.

  5. top with remaining tomato sauce

  6. bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
