Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Roll Casserole

1 1/4 lbs ground turkey
2/3 cup chopped onion
14 1/2 oz diced tomato
2 pounds chopped cabbage
2/3 cup uncooked white rice
3/4 teaspoon salt
18 oz low sodium chicken broth
3 oz tomato paste

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Roll Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. In a large skillet, brown beef in oil over medium high heat until redness is gone. Drain off fat.

  3. In a large mixing bowl combine the onion, tomato sauce, cabbage, and salt. Add meat and mix all together.

  4. Add rice to bottom of o a 9x13 inch cooking dish.

  5. Pour mixture over rice.

  6. Pour broth over meat mixture and bake in the preheated oven, covered, for 1 hour.

  7. Stir, replace cover and bake for another 30 minute
