Slow Cooker; easy. May substitute ground beef for ground turkey.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Roll Casserole

1 pound ground turkey
1/2 cup onion, chopped
4 1/2 cups cabbage, shredded
1 carrot, shredded
1/2 cup instant brown rice
1/4 cup broth
2 teaspoons paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
15 ounce can tomato sauce, Italian-style

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Roll Casserole

  1. Cook beef and onion in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.

  2. Mix beef mixture and remaining ingredients in 3 1/2 - 6 quart slow cooker.

  3. Cover and cook on low heat setting 4 - 6 hours or until cabbage is tender.

  4. May sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese. Cover and let it stand a few minutes so the cheese melts.
