Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage roll casserole

1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb chicken
2 lbs cabbage
1 cup uncooked brown rice
2 cups onions
2 cans tomato paste
3 cups tomato sauce
3 cups chicken broth

Recipe Directions for Cabbage roll casserole

  1. Brown ground beef, chicken, onions, garlic.

  2. Place in crockpot and mix in tomato sauce and paste, broth, 1 tsp salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Add in rice and chopped cabbage and cook 5- 6 hours with long cooking rice or 3-4 with quick cooking.

  4. Time varies on crockpot. Cook until cabbage is tender.
