Recipe Ingredients for CABBAGE AND RICE

1 tomatoes, red canned
1 cup brown rice, raw
1 large onion
4 cloves garlic
4 carrots, sliced chunky
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup water
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for CABBAGE AND RICE

  1. SAUTE ONION AND GARLIC IN OLIVE OIL UNTIL SOFT

  2. ADD RICE AND STIR UNTIL COATED

  3. ADD CHOPPED CABBAGE CARROTS TOMATOES WATER AND SALT

  4. COVER POT AND BRING TO A SIMMER, THEN TURN DOWN HEAT

  5. WATCH POT TO AVOID SCORCHING, ADDING MORE WATER IF NECESSARY

  6. SIMMER ABOUT 40 MINUTES

  7. ADJUST SEASONING

  8. SERVE WITH GRATED PARM CHEESE
