Cream-based Soup. A great way to eat cabbage.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage, Potato, and Sausage Soup

2 potatoes
1 onion
16 oz sausage
1 head,+large+about+7"+dia cabbage
3 cups skim milk
2 tbsp flour
4 oz swiss cheese

Recipe Directions for Cabbage, Potato, and Sausage Soup

  1. Brown the sausage (not in the cases). Dice the potatoes and Onion and cook the first 3 ingredients with 2 cups of water for 10 minutes

  2. Slice the cabbage thin, and then add to the pot. Cook another 20 minutes.

  3. Add all but 1/2 cup milk and heat almost to boiling. Combine the milk and flour and then add to thicken.

  4. Slice up the cheese and melt it in.
