Browned ground beef and onion, combined with ranch-style beans, cabbage and stewed tomatoes. Seasoned with cumin and garlic then slow-cooked all day.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Patch Stew

1 pound ground beef, 95% lean
1 onion, chopped
15 oz. chili starter
1/4 tsp. cumin, ground
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 1/2 cups, cabbage, chopped
1 bell pepper, grean, chopped
14 1/2 oz. tomatoes, stewed w/liquid
2 celery stalks, chopped
1/4 c. picante sauce
1 c. water
1 salt to taste
1 pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Patch Stew

  1. In a skillet over meadium heat, brown the ground beef with the onion. Drain fat.

  2. Combine ranch-style beans, cumin, garlic, cabbage and green pepper in crock pot. Stir in stewed tomatoes, celery, pcante sauce, water, and beef mixture. Salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours.
